West Midlands Special Needs Transport (WMSNT) is a charity that provides transport to people with mobility problems.
This is carried out through its Ring and Ride service. The charity also works closely with local Special Needs Schools enabling children with disabilities to travel to and from school. In addition to this the charity provides specialist services to the National Health Service.
WMSNT operates 11 sites of which 10 store and distribute fuel to their vehicles. They employed Liquid Management Solutions to carry out a review of fuel storage and monitoring systems within the operation with the emphasis on environmental issues as well improvements that can be made within its business.
The purpose of the Environmental Compliance Audit was to review the company’s current fuel storage and monitoring systems and highlight areas where improvements are required to bring the site in line with legislation.
Des Rogers, Operations Manager for WMSNT said:
“The advisor spent a couple of hours at each site, gathering the information he required. We have now received a detailed document, outlining his review of each depot and what we are required to do to ensure we comply with the stringent Oil Storage Regulations”.
