DSEAR Risk Assessments (ATEX)

Liquid Management Solutions Ltd are chosen by multiple businesses to undertake important DSEAR Risk assessments (ATEX) as they look to comply with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) 2002 And The European Directive 1999/92/EC.

Why does your business need a DSEAR risk assessment?

DSEAR sets minimum requirements for the protection of workers from fire and explosion risks related to dangerous substances and potentially explosive atmospheres and from gases under pressure and substances corrosive to metals and require employers to control the risks to the safety of employees and others from these hazards.

Since the EU Regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, or ‘CLP’ Regulation, increased the upper flashpoint for classification as a flammable liquid from 55 °C to 60 °C. This increase means that diesel is now classed as a flammable liquid and therefore falls under DSEAR Regulations as a dangerous substance.
To avoid prosecution, hefty fines and even imprisonment you must comply with these regulations and guidelines.
We can carry out a DSEAR risk assessments providing detailed findings and recommendations.
