DfT targets biofuel with the Renewable Fuels Agency

The Department for Transport has set up the Renewable Fuels Agency to help the UK as it moves towards its Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation target that  5% of all fuel sold in the UK should be biofuel by 2010. (more…)

Volvo joins CO2 reduction team

The proposed measures include increased fuel-efficient driving and greater reliance on renewable fuels.

Volvo Trucks is part of a group that aims to halve the overall climate impact of a typical Swedish long-haul transport operation by 2020 by achieving reductions in CO2 emissions.

Owen Pugh chairman slams new engines for lack of fuel efficiency.

European legal pressure on manufacturers to produce lower particulate engines is leading to a steady increase in CO2 emissions as machines become less fuel efficient, says group chairman of Owen Pugh, John Dickinson.
